What a month! I mean… week?!
It’s been an intense work week over here, and this morning we woke up to even more news about the spreading Coronavirus and the stock market continuing to tank. (Feel free to chat and exchange tips about how to reasonably prepare without participating in a mass panic). Next week is APW’s spring break (more on that below), but we will be publishing as needed to answer people’s questions, provide a place for discussion, and provide information needed about Coronavirus and how it’s impacting your wedding planning. In more fun news of the week, on Sunday night we got news that after months and months of waiting and delays, we were moving into our new office on Monday morning. Our new space is down the hall of the huge converted warehouse we’ve worked in for the past year, in a wing that is newly built out. So, thanks to enormous pre-planning on Chelsea‘s part (thanks Chelsea!) we were ready to hit go at 9:00 a.m. on Monday morning. And by Wednesday afternoon, every single box was unpacked, and we were hard at work in our sunny new office space. (Did I mention it’s sunny? Turns out custom blinds take some time to make.)

We’re so happy to be in the space, but that’s not the end of the changes this week. Today is the last day for our Content Strategist, Dana, who we’re sad to see leave… but excited to see what she does next. We exchanged gifts around the office on Thursday, and wished her the very best.
And while all this was happening, I’ve been getting ready to go to Palm Springs, where I’m speaking at Alt Summit next week. It’s always the hardest work week of my year, but also the most fun (and the most tiring). So with that in mind, we’re going to be mostly off for an APW spring break next week, pending Coronavirus issues or stories that need to be addressed. The rest of the team is going to be working on big picture projects, but you can keep up with us—and those clear blue Palm Springs skies—on Instagram stories, and we’ll be back with tons of great new content in a week.
