HEY APW,
So! After I finished the book and had a meltdown (which is literally the only way I know how to finish big projects/process extremely good news), we got out of town for a twenty-four-hour babymoon. I’ve been told by people that the term “babymoon” is dumb, and I should never use it because it’s embarrassing. But to hell with that. Getting away before you have an infant and can’t get away for… awhile… is basically the best idea anyone ever came up with. Six years/ten years in, there are days where being married is just having a really solid partnership—you cook dinner, I’ll fold the laundry, then we’ll get the toddler to bed and run through the household budget. And I’m grateful to have such a functional partnership, but it’s amazing how within the first two hours of getting out of town you suddenly remember, “Oh RIGHT! I totally married you for a reason!”
And then you know, I got back to work and launched fifty-seven new projects, because I still have six weeks before my maternity leave and…
